Barn, now the tallest part of a complex of cattle sheds. C16, shortened
in length in later C20. Timber frame on red brick sill, dark
weatherboarded with a steep pitched roof now of corrugated asbestos. A
tall 2-bays barn formerly extending further to E. Jowled posts,
mid-height rail jointed in-line, curved tension braces in sides and W
end rising from mid-height rail. Single clasped-purlin to each roofslope
carried on collar truss with struts in W gable. 2 open trusses have
heavy convex-curved inclined queen-posts. Long straight wind-braces.
Heavy flat rafters. Included for group value.
