Late C15 or early C16 house re-roofed and re-fronted in early-mid C19. Two
storey, three window brick front with stuccoed plinth and fairly low-pitched
slated roof. Sash windows with glazing bars, those on ground floor segment-
headed, tripartite but for two on ground floor right. Projecting door hood
holds inn sign on panelled bow under slated gable. (The building was for-
merly"The Vine" public house). Inside exposed timbers on the first floor
indicate a roof of crown-post and collar-purlin construction although somewhat
altered. An old compound chimney stack and a little exposed timber can be
seen from the back which also shows a tiled roof with catelide at right.
