Farmhouse. Tie-bar ends dated 1819; rear wing widened in later C19. Local
brick, concrete tile roof. T-shaped on plan: 2-room central entrance-hall
south front with 2-room rear wing. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Flight
of 3 stone steps to recessed C20 door beneath 3-pane overlight in original
doorcase with panelled frieze and pairs of narrow panelled pilasters with
reeded brackets supporting shallow hood. 16-pane ground- floor sashes in
flush wooden architraves with sills and stucco cambered arches. 12-pane
first-floor sashes in flush wooden architraves with sills and lintels at
eaves level. Stepped eaves, plain wooden eaves board. Stone-coped gables
with shaped kneelers. End stacks. Left return: 4-bay rear wing has 2
recessed 6-fielded-panel doors beneath 3-pane overlights (that to left is
blind) in wooden architraves beneath stucco cambered arches, two 16-pane
ground-floor sashes in flush wooden architraves beneath similar arches,
first-floor unequal 9-pane sash and C20 2-light casement with glazing bars
in similar surrounds. Stone-coped gable with shaped kneelers; dated
wrought-iron tie-bar ends to left gable. Interior: open well staircase with
ramped handrail and plain balusters; panelled window shutters and doors in
architraves.
