War memorial. 1920. Designed by Clement W Jewitt of Hornsey, London,
worked and fixed by C J Marston of Finsbury Park. Art Youveau Gothic style.
Octagonal on plan. 2 steps to moulded base with panels containing blind
tracery and inscribed plaques. Moulded cornice and above round-headed
niches containing figures flanked by offset buttresses with finials. Carved
spandrels and parapet above. Tall pinnacle with blind niches holding
paterae and with complex hoods, surmounted by cross. Neave D, Howden
