Granary. Late C18. Orange-brown brick with pantile roof. Rectangular,
single-room plan. 2 storeys, single first-floor opening to south side.
South side has blocked central entrance, 3-course first-floor band, central
first-floor board door with lintel at eaves level. Stepped and cogged brick
eaves cornice. Crow-stepped gables. West gable end has central board
stable door beneath timber lintel, first-floor band, small wooden slatted
ventilator hatch to first floor beneath segmental arch, single-course band
at eaves level. East gable end has similar brick bands and first-floor
opening. Adjoining ranges are not included in listing. The least altered
example in the Isle of Axholme of the few remaining small 2-storied
granaries with crow-stepped gables.
