House. 1829 on datestone to rear. Dark brown brick with stone dressings,
timber eaves cornice, slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, L-shaped plan. 4-
panel door under fanlight with radial glazing with panelled reveals and
soffit in door-case with attached Doric columns carrying entablature and
blocking course. 16-pane sashes with sills under cambered wedge lintels to
right and to left. First-floor sill band. Three 16-pane sashes under
cambered wedge lintels to first floor. Bracketed eaves cornice. End
stacks, hipped roof. This house contains a number of original features
including a cut-string stair with scrolled tread-ends, turned balusters, and
wreathed, moulded handrail. The rooms to right and left, and entrance hall
have fluted cornices with roundels. Datestone to rear wing: J.S.
1829
