Description

ROOS LAMB LANE
TA 23 SE
(south side)
8/60 The Bungalow
II
House. Probably C18, extended and re-roofed in mid C19. Clay walls with
brick cladding, rendered, and pantiled roof: later extensions in brick with
slate roof. Original house of 2 cells, single storey, gable-entry plan:
later extension of 2 bays to left and half-bay to right, all single storey,
with porches to front wall. C20 door and scattered fenestration, axial and
end stacks. The importance of this house resides in its method of
construction: it is one of a very small number of examples left in
Humberside. Mid C19 extension not of special interest.
