Farmhouse. Early-mid C18 with later additions and alterations and probably
earlier origins. Narrow reddish-brown brick, colour-washed to front facade,
and with exposed limestone and brick to right gable end, with plain tile and
pantile roofs. Lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys, 5 bays with range to right of
single storey with attics, 2 bays. Entrance to fourth bay, a 6-fielded-
panel door with divided overlight within doorcase of fluted pilasters,
frieze and hood. Windows: 16-pane sashes on both floors to first and third
bays and to first-floor of fifth bay; to ground floor of fifth bay a C20
multi-paned bow window; to first floor, fourth bay a margin-glazed 12-pane
sash; windows to second bay are blocked. Dentil cornice, swept roof, brick
copings, end and ridge stacks. Tumbled-in brickwork to gable ends. Range
to right has off-centre entrance with plank door under segmental arch,
otherwise multi-paned casements. Stepped eaves.
