Farmhouse, now divided. Late C16 - early C17, altered C19, partially restored late C20. Rendered over rubble, triple
Roman tiles, brick stacks left and right of centre, former set below opex of roof. Plan: 3 cell and cross passage,
outshots at rear flanking cross passage entrance to Brookside. Garden front: 2 storeys, 4 bays, all C20 windows, three
2- light casements left, cruciform window right, ground floor 3- light casements flanking cross passage entrance left,
small glazed opening to right, C20 window beyond and C20 single storey gabled addition to right (not included).
Interior: Chamfered beams with step runout stops, end room left has fireplace with chamfered lintel set against cross
passage wall with winder stair to left, now cupboard, central room has winder stair to left of large open fireplace
with chamfered lintel and smoke blackened curing chamber right, now entered from rear (Brookside) and lit by small
glazed opening on garden front. Collar and principal roof, lath and plaster partitions. Unusual internal arrangement
may perhaps have been built as two cottages and enlarged subsequently.
