Finial, reputed to be the apex of the spire of the Church of the Holy Ghost (qv). C14. Limestone, about 2.5m high,
ribbed with bulbous top, octagonal in cross section. The Church was struck by lightning during a violent storm in
December 1725; the spire was demolished and during the subsequent fire the roofs, pulpit and screen were destroyed.
