15/47 Bridge over River Sheppey in
grounds of Dinder House

II*

Bridge over River Sheppey carrying drive to Dinder House (qv). Early/mid C18. Dressed stone. Vermiculated ashlar
abutments supporting inclined roadway approaches; broad elliptical archway over river, vermiculated voussoirs,
emphasised rustic keystones; ornamental parapet each side, splayed ends, vase balusters and intermediate and end antae.
Bridge pre-dates Dinder House and is an important feature in the landscape. (Country Life, October 20, 1977).
