Terrace of 8 houses. 1913. By J. Lomax Simpson. Brick with
roughcast tile roof. 2 storeys, 8 bays, 2 bays at each end,
project under paired asymmetrical gables,all have jettied
apexes, the 7th bay has half-hipped coved gable, the end bay
breaks forward. Brick base to sill level, and brick centre.
Drip mould and string course to centre, over ground floor,
gables have strap work pargetting. Windows have small-paned
casements. Ground floor has 4-light windows, the 1st 2 with
transoms. 1st floor has 4-light windows, central 2 bays with
5-light canted oriels with central arched feature; 1st bay
has 3-light window with transom, end bay has 4-light canted
oriel with transom and pargetted base. Entrances have flat
canopies and doors with small-paned lights. Decorative
rainwater head. Returns have porches under cat-slide roofs,
fluted antae on low walls. 4 cross-axial stacks. Rear
similar, roughcast 1st floor.
