C1800-10. Two storey symmetrical pair of corniced stucco houses. Seven
bays, the central one containing tunnel passage. Originally the centre piece
of a terrace (No 4 demolished). Hipped slate roof with moulded eaves overall.
(Brick chimney stacks). The centre 3 bays are slightly advanced with a moulded
triangular pediment. No 5 retains all original features with revealed glazing
bar sashes, the window next to the centre set in arched panel, central first
floor window blind. Round headed doorway, panelled reveals, soffit and door,
radial glazed fanlight, all contained in doorcase of engaged slender Tuscan
columns, roundels to sections of entablature and open pediment. No 6 retains
identical doorway but first floor windows have lost glazing bars and the ground
floor has pilastered canted bay windows of C1860 with scallop slate pent roofs
and fretted bracketted courses. The central passage doorway has blind lunette.
