Circa 1850-60 three storey and basement red brick works on canal side. Four
bay front with long range to Water Street return. Engineering brick plinth;
tall ground floor with engineering brick cornices over. Upper floors have
window bays set in narrow 2 storey segmental arched arcade of finely detailed
brickwork. Prominent eaves cornice on console brackets. Plain elevation with
loading bays to canal. All window are segmental arched with glazing bar
sashes, engineering brick moulded sills. End to Ludgate Hill has semi-circular
arched loading bay recessed for one order with stone imposts and key. Semi-circular
arched similarly detailed office door to right. Water Street range has ground
floor windows arcaded above plinth, keystones to arches. A good unaltered
example of canal side works on corner site.
