7/4 Primitive Methodist
Ebenezer Chapel.

II

Methodist Chapel. Datestone 1862. Gault and red brick facade, slate roof. 2
storey 3 bay facade, 3 bay returns. 2 ground floor and 2 first floor arched
headed sashes with margin light glazing bars. First floor circular arch L'oeil
de boeuf window with sunburst glazing bars. 2 panel raised and fielded door
with replacement clear glass fanlight. All openings have rubbed brick arches.
Datestone over door. Ground floor plinth, 2 end pilasters and centre bay
expressed as one broad pilaster, all brought forward. Projecting eaves cornice
with dentils, hipped roof. 3 bay red brick returns divided by strip pilasters.
3 arched headed windows perhaps c.1880 replacement of previous 2 storey window
arrangement.
