5/23 Range of farm buildings and wall,
at Ebrington Hill Farm

GV II

Range of farm buildings forming 2 sides of a courtyard and brick
wall forming third. All C19. Threshing barn, squared limestone
outside, brick inside with limestone slate roof and flat coping at
gable ends and roll saddles. Wash-house: squared limestone and
limestone rubble with tile roof. Store with hayloft over, squared
limestone and some brick. Section of weather boarding across
ground floor right. Byres: brick with limestone slate roof.
Threshing barn and store lie right of farmhouse, at right angles to
it. Byre and cart shelter lie opposite farmhouse attached to
store left and brick wall right. The whole forming a square
courtyard with buildings on 3 sides. Threshing barn has former
wash-house outshut attached left and projecting 2 storey central
gable, with double doorway with segmental brick head, matching
doorway in rear wall. Store, with hay loft, formerly open fronted
on right. Brick steps to hay loft door with pitching door. All
plank doors with strap hinges. Range opposite farmhouse,
symmetrical comprising two small byres, with plank doors at each
end flanking open fronted cart shelter.
Interior of barn 3 bays, with C20 roof trusses. Former wash house
retains washing copper.
