C18. Coursed rubble wall on either side of entrance. Ashlar gate piers with cornice
and crowned by dogs.
C20 scrollwork wrought-iron gates. Coursed rubble walls on either side of drive.
Ashlar piers with ball finials at entrance to courtyard.
Street boundary walls are in rubble, about 6 ft 6 ins high, ending in ramped corner
to left and with outhouse to Manor Lodge to right. The latter is an early C20
Cotswold style building with hipped roof and north end bay open on piers.
The courtyard opens from the inner gate piers with flanking walls and returns
containing arches through to garden path and ramped coping in the style of the
Lutyen-Jekyll partnership.
