10/42 Middle Farmhouse
II
Detached farmhouse. Late C17-early C18. Substantially altered
early C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, slate roof with
limestone gable end coping, artificial stone and ashlar stacks.
Rectangular main body with C19 extension rear left; outshut rear
right. Facade: 2 storeys and attic lit by 2-light roof dormers
with C20 wood casements. 3-windowed; 2 and 3-light metal casements
with horizontal glazing bars within segmental headed surrounds.
Part-glazed early C20 door off-centre left with gabled C20 porch
roof with timber supports. Blocked stone-mullioned window in right
gable end, and to first floor at rear. Flat gable end coping, twin-
flue right gable end stack with moulded capping and skirting. C20
artificial stone left gable end stack, replacing former ashlar
stack.
