Former almshouses, now 2 houses in row. 1821. Coursed rubble
limestone; rendered chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey.
Front: 3-window fenestration, all pointed Gothick windows with
plain architraves, timber Y-tracery and iron casements with
intersecting leading. Central pointed doorway with recessed plank
double doors; two C20 doors within internal porch. Crenellated
parapet. Gable end chimneys with plain caps. Interior not
inspected. Built by David Ricardo of Gatcombe Park (q.v.).
