GV II

Detached house. Mid-late C17. Random rubble limestone; rendered
brick chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic. West
front: 2 full gables, 2-window fenestration, all chamfered
mullioned casements with hoodmoulds, 2 and 3-light. Smaller
single-light window above main attic casements each with flat hood.
One ground floor casement and window in lower garage wing to right
are C20 restorations. North end: built against high-level road
with gable-mounted chimney. East side: 2 full gables, scattered
fenestration. Central ground floor 4-light casement with
hoodmould. Two-light casements to upper floors. Two blocked
doorways to right, one to upper floor, one to attic - presumably
originally with external stairs. Interior not inspected. Forms
part of group with Old White Hart (q.v.).
