Honeysuckle Cottage and The Ferns

Two houses in row. Honeysuckle Cottage: late C17. The Ferns:
early C19. Random and coursed rubble limestone; ashlar, blue
brick and concrete block chimneys; stone slate and concrete tile
roofs. Honeysuckle Cottage: single-storey with attic, rear
outshut. The Ferns: 2-storey with attic, rear wing and attached
2-storey rear outbuilding. Front: single-window fenestration to
The Ferns to left, 3-light to ground floor, 2-light above, both
recessed chamfered mullioned with hoodmoulds. Doorway to right
with stone lintel and 6-panel door. Two gable end chimneys, one
with moulded cap. Honeysuckle Cottage to right has doorway with
timber lintel and plank door flanked by 2-light mullioned
casements. Gabled eaves-mounted roof dormer with C20 casement.
North end: single window fenestration in gable end of Honeysuckle
Cottage, 2-light to ground and upper floors, both chamfered
mullioned casements. Blocked oval window with hoodmould in gable
apex. Single-light casement with hoodmould to end of outshut.
Rear: outshut with 2 small low-level blocked single-light openings
to Honeysuckle Cottage. Gabled wing to The Ferns with single-
window mullioned fenestration. Attached 2-storey rendered brick
later C19 outbuilding has timber casements. Interior: fireplace
with timber lintel and collar-truss roof to Honeysuckle Cottage.
