Cottage. Possibly C15 or early C16, altered C18, C19. Painted
brick, left part front English bond; brick infilled timber-framing
to gable; tiled roof. Three-window front, single bay extension
left, 1 1/2 storeys, one room deep. Boarded door behind half-glazed
wooden porch, boarding to gable over: on left 2-light window,
elliptical brick arch; small panes, as all other windows to front.
To right door 3-light casement, no lintel. Vertical joint in
wall, boarded door under cambered brick arch, 3-light casement,
similar head. End of lean-to against gable on right, thin timber
tie beam, boarded door. Above 2 gabled dormers in left section,
each with 2-light casement; gable chimney left end, chimney from
front eaves by vertical joint, external on right return. Top of
what is probably a cruck truss appears over lean-to roof on right
return. Left end, brick lean-to against gable; set back brick
wing, boarded door under cambered brick arch, slit air vent to
left. Interior not inspected.
