7/234 Horsemarling Cottage Farmhouse
II
Small former farmhouse. Probably late C17, incorporating former
farm buildings to right probably of C18. Coursed and dressed
stone, concrete tile roof, gable ridge stack with stone base and 2
rebuilt brick flues. Single range of 2 storeys with gable lobby
entry, single storey and attic addition to right. Three windows,
2/3/1-light stone mullions with square hoodmould. Similar to
ground floor with ovolo moulded and stopped stone doorway to far
right with lower edge of lintel shaped as shallow triangle, later
gabled porch hood. Similar fenestration to left hand gable end.
Former farm building has gabled 2-light dormer on eaves to left
over 2-light with timber lintel, and plank door to right.
