Detached house. Probably C17, largely rebuilt in brick c1770, as
indicated by a diamond-shaped datestone high up in brick gable end
facing onto Lake Street. Stone slate roof with brick stacks.
Rectangular plan to main body. Early C20 pebble-dashed range at
right angles to main body,not of special interest. Main body; 1½
storeys. Gable end facing onto Lake Street with three-light
casement with horizontal glazing bars within segmental-headed
surround to ground floor. Flat-roofed 4-light oriel window to
first floor. Wall facing onto Bowbridge Lane with 2-light dormer
from eaves. Canted 5-light bay with leaded panes to ground floor.
Single C20 casement without glazing bars to left. Circular window
with decorative leaded panes and dressed stone surround to right.
Pair of 2-light stone-mullioned casements with square-sectioned
mullions to right. Axial and projecting gable-end stacks.
Interior; large open fireplace with wooden bressumer.
