C16, C18, C19. An irregular 2-storeyed terrace, the eastern part (up to the
door of No 8) in C19 with a hipped slate roof, 2 windows and a carriageway
opening: walling is painted brickwork and there are modern casements with a
sash window (of No 8) above the opening, plain door to No 6 is a side entrance
within the opening. The main block is timber-framed, with former jetties masked
by a late C18 brick front. Red tile roofing: at the rear there are 4 unequal
gables and a catslide. Front wall of painted brickwork, Flemish bond. Upper
windows are casements, 2 with old leaded lights: 3 sashes and 1 casement (old)
to ground floor. Plain door to No 8: No 10 has a 6-panelled door with
architrave, fanlight and canopy on carved brackets. No 12 has an C18 shopfront
with a bow window on a brick base, a carved frieze and cornice on brackets and
panelled pilasters: No 14 has an early C19 shopfront, with entablature on 3
pilasters, narrow fanlight above flush-panelled door.
