Manor Farmhouse

II


C16, C17, C18, C20. A later medieval timber-framed hall with later timber-framed
extensions, and still later additions at the east end. Single-storey with attic,
3 windows. Thatched roof, eaves raised to upper windows (with cills at eaves level).
Brick external walling, the lower in English the upper in Flemish bond, with blue
headers, cambered ground floor openings, plinth on a flint base. Casements. Modern
brick porch with hipped tile roof, and an old 7-panelled (top middle glazed) door.
Within, the frame of different periods, is exposed, and there is a fireplace oak
bressumer dated 1593.
