The colonnade with its 4 Corinthian columns are probably Cl8 but the buildings
above, which form part of the Swan Hotel and the shops below it are C19. 4 storeys
and attics stuccoed. Slate mansard roof with 3 dormers, 2 of which have double
windows. 5 sashes with verticals only set in moulded architraves. The 1st floor
has 2 3-light sashes. Later shopfronts.
Nos 2 to 28 (even) and Nos 38 to 72 (even) form a group.
