House. Mid C18. Red brick and tile hung to right return, with plain tiled roof.
Two storeys and attic on plinth with rendered plat band and cornice to parapet
with hipped roof with 2 flat roofed dormers and stacks to left and to right.
Regular fenestration of 2 glazing bar sashes on each floor, with central wooden
Venetian window, pedimented on first floor. Door of 6 panels to centre on ground
floor, with enriched open pediment on Doric engaged columns, with traceried tymp-
anum. Left return with 2-storey canted bay, and with additional canted bay/oriel
to first floor supported on wooden posts. Right return with projecting tile hung
2-storey extensions. Interior: dado rail throughout rooms, staircase with
central single flight leading to landings on all sides, with turned balusters, and
with chinoiserie-pattern balustrade to landings. Staircase hall with elliptical
arched opening. Walls attached at right lead to reconstructed walls, red brick
about 2 feet high, with corner piers with urn finials, with wrought iron rails,
scrolled panelled principals and central round-headed gate with scrolled over-
throw. The walls continue to the south and west of the house, about 5 feet high
on plinth, and regularly buttressed.
