House, now divided into 2 dwellings. Early C17, altered in C19 and C20. Timber
framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 5 bays facing NW, with
2 axial stacks. Rear wing to right of centre, and C19 lean-to extension to
right of it, with slate roof. C19 single-storey extension to rear of left
stack, with slate roof. C20 entrance block in front of left stack. 2 storeys.
4-window range of early C19 sashes of 16 lights, with some crown glass. C20
glazed door (Elm Cottage) to left of front extension, 6-panel door with top
panels glazed in gabled porch (Pottery Cottage) on right return wall. Grouped
Grouped diagonal shafts on left stack, rebuilt at top. Jowled posts,
face-halved and bladed scarfs in wallplates, one axial beam with lamb's tongue
stops, others boxed in. The left stack has a large wood-burning hearth facing
to right, with a C20 grate. The right stack has a C20 grate facing to left.
