House. C17. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with slate and handmade red clay
tiles. 4 bays facing W, with axial stack one bay from left end, and rear stack
near right end. Single storey extension behind right end. 2 storeys. 4-window
range of C20 casements. 4-panel door at front of gabled porch. Jowled posts.
The axial stack has 2 wood-burning hearths of 0.23 m brickwork. 2 chamfered
transverse beams with lamb's-tongue-and-roll stops, plain joists of vertical
section. The front wall has been raised approx. one metre in early C19 when
this house was converted into 2 cottages, and back to one house again in C20.
