Public house. Early C16 with C17 and later additions and alterations. Exposed
timber frame. Red plain tiled roofs. Off centre left and external right red
brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys with single storey right extensions. Jettied
gabled wing to left, this with acorn and oak leak carved bressumer. 1:4:1
window range of vari-light leaded mullions, excepting to right extension a C19
bay with vertically sliding sashes. There are 2 doors to the central range, the
left vertically boarded, the right C20 enclosed red tiled gabled porch,
vertically boarded door. 4 panelled door to right extension. RCHM 4.
