TL 30 NE NAZEING HOE LANE,

House. Early C15 open hall house with crosswings, altered in C16. Timber
framed and part plastered, part weatherboarded, with red plain tile roof. 2
storeys with gabled and jettied crosswings left and right. 3 window range,
C20 leaded casements. Lean to extension at north end, forming rear wing. C16
red brick cruciform chimney stack with moulded brick top course. Internally
the original heavy frame survives in the crosswings. Hall range partly rebuilt
in C16, with inserted first floor and raised roof. Large C16 inglenook
fireplace with timber mantel. Moulded bridging joists, 3 centred door head
and crownpost roofs. (RCHM 14).
