House, C16, altered in C17, C19 and C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with
handmade red clay tiles. Consists of 2-bay hall block aligned approx. N-S
aspect W, with 2 jettied crosswings. Axial chimney stack at S end of hall
block, internal chimney stack in N crosswing. Rear extension from N crosswing,
C17 with axial chimney stack and external chimney stack at E end. Gable to
E, gabled dormer, and swept dormer. 2 storeys. W elevation, tiled gabled
porch, 3 early C19 double-hung sash windows with marginal lights on each floor.
Mock timber framing on upper storeys and gables of crosswings. Facade gable
in hall block with C19 casement window with arched head in gable. Grouped
diagonal chimney shafts. Restored after war damage. RCHM 9.
