TR 09 NW DENGIE BRIDGEWICK ROAD

9/93 Court Farmhouse

GV II

House. Early C17 with C19/C20 left lean-to, right range and gabled rear ranges.
Timber framed and weatherboarded. Red plain tiled roof of 2 levels. Left red
brick chimney stack. 2 storeys and attic with catslide dormer. 2 window range
to first floor, 4 range to ground floor with pentice boards over, all C20 small
paned casements, C20 French window with sidelights to left lean-to. C20 gabled
porch with vertically boarded door to right. Original range interior features
include a virtually complete frame with all carpenters' marks visible, heavy
chamfered bridging joists, through bracing to wall, halved and bladed top plate
scarfs. Original first and attic floors. Original moulded 3 board door with
strap hinges and catch. Original newal staircase by chimney stack. Side purlin
roof with numbered collars. The rear lean-to, between the later gabled wings,
appears to be integral.
