1580 A red brick gateway which survives from the older house. 4- centred arch
flanked originally by 2 columns the shape of gun shells, but the north one has
been removed. Cornice, pediment and parapet over surmounted by 3 octagonal caps.
2 buttresses on the garden side of the arch.
