Cottage row, formerly with shops. C16 or earlier clad C18. Timber framed and clad
with painted brick on sandstone base, with exposed frame to right return with
plaster and red brick infill. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic on plinth with
roof hipped to right with 3 stacks ranged to centre and stack to rear right and 5
flat roofed dormers. First floor with two old 2 light wooden casements, 2 late C20
replacement wooden casements and late C20 3 light casement. Ground floor with small
canted bays to end left and to centre left with a sash between and 2 light and 3
light C20 wooden casements to right. Three half glazed doors, those to centre left
and to right with blocked doorways adjoining. Right return with exposed close
studded frame to main range with additional 2 bay extension of widely spaced studs
with mid-rails. Reported interesting framed interior with chamfered beams. At some
time an Inn.
