The Hogarth Inn

House, later the Cock Inn and the Post Office, now Public House.
Late C16, altered in C20. Timber-framed with hipped tiled roof.
2 storeys. 4 horizontal sliding sash windows on first-floor and
3 C20 square bays on ground-floor. West end of brick with large
stack and two brick mullioned windows, now blocked. East end with
catslide extension. Interior: Floor beams chamfered and stopped
throughout. As the Cock it was visited in 1732 by William Hogarth
and party, and drawings survive of this visit.
