Late mediaeval timber framed house with Eastern extension probably of C17. Older
part, more visible from rear, of 2 storeys, 2 windows, irregular. Tiled roof
hipped at left with ridge gablet. Compound stack at right. Possibly one bay
removed as roof now gable ended. Tile hung 1st floor, red brick ground floor.
Rubble basement. Eastern part of 2 storeys and attic, one window. Chimney
at back. C18 and modern leaded iron casements. Lean-to roof behind. Inside
much exposed timber and inglenook with freestone jambs. Old upstairs fireplace
of chamfered brick. Side purlins and wind braces to queen post roof. Smoke
bay, chimney built inside it later.
