C16 timber framed building restored and extended by Baillie Scott who lived
here. North front shows old part of 2 storeys, 3 windows on riglt. High pitched
tiled roof with compound ridge stack. Now weatherboarded 1st floor and red
brick ground floor with some blue headers. Various Cl9 and modern casements.
Exposed timber framing on right return. Projecting centre part, built by Baillie
Scott to hold C18 style drawing room, in red brick with some blue headers.
Modern but seemly left extension, tile hung above and brick below, with returned
gable end to balance similar gable at right. Inside the old part much exposed
timber, inglenook fireplace, old plank floors.
