House, now house row. 1632 with early C18 facade and with later
alterations. Probably timber-framed. Facade of painted brick in
Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. Lobby entry. 2 storeys and attic
on stone plinth with moulded wood eaves cornice. Hipped roof. Red
brick ridge stack off-centre to right and red brick stack slightly
projecting to left, possibly shared with No. 3. Broad hipped
dormer off-centre to left, probably C19. Irregular fenestration
of 4 windows; 3 glazing-bar sashes in open boxes (one with
painted brick apron and one with thick glazing bars) and one sash
with horns. Door to Brenchleys beneath stack, probably C18, with
fielded panels and broad flat corniced hood. Decorated plaster
panel above door dated 1632. C19 panelled door to Little Brenchleys

adjacent to right, with 3-light rectangular fanlight and smaller
flat corniced hoods. Both doors up 3 steps. Narrow 2-storey parallel
rear range, probably C18 or later. Interior not inspected.
