8/36 Spot Farm Cottage

II

House. Late C17. Timber framed with plaster infilling, part
of ground floor rebuilt in brick. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys,
3 timber framed bays. Closely spaced applied studs of very
thin scanthing with thin straight tension braces. Roof hipped
at left end. Large projecting stack on stone base on right
gable and one slender projecting C19 stack to left of centre
on front elevation. Irregular fenestration of one 3-light
leaded casement towards either end and one small 2-light
leaded casement in centre. C20 brick porch leading into lean-
to at left end of front elevation. Further C20 door behind
right gable, leading into rear lean-to.
