Terrace of 5 houses. Late C18, no 20 substantially rebuilt in
1982. Red brick; Kent-tile mansard roof with dormers. The
terrace is built as a unified design although the end houses have
different ground plans. 2 storeys and attic. Front: regular 5-
window range under parapet with cornice band and stone coping;
the outer window bays contained under a superordinate round-
headed arch, with triparite 4:12:4 sashes (and fluted stucco
fanse above the 1st floor windows). The other windows with
conventional 12-pane (one 9-pane) hornless sashes in revealed
frames. All windows with rubbed brick arches. 3 doorways to
front elevation (Noa 14, 16 and 18) with surrounds under shaped
canopies and panelled doors. The end houses entered by side
doorways, no 20 very simply treated, but no 12 in a returned
storeyed wing, a plain recessed semi-circular opening, with a
panelled door under fanlight with decorative glazing bars. 12-
pane hornless sash window above. Tall brick stacks to roof
ridges.
