Built circa 1812-15. By Strutts. Said to have been built originally as a
mill. Coursed stone. Slate roof with brick stacks. Two storeys. L-shaped
facade but rear part projects into range above. Both west and south wings
have 2 sashes each with late C19 glazing and stone lintels. Stone porch in
angle. Roof of south wing older slates. (West wing probably addition). North
facade gabled. Two unbarred sashes with dotage doors below. Interior has
some iron construction.
