II
Farmhouse. Dated 1828. Red brick, rendered on all but the north
elevation. Welsh slate roof with stone coped gables without kneelers.
Brick gable stacks and one brick ridge stack. Three storeys. Four
bay south elevation. Off-centre doorway with stone doorcase with
pilasters and flat bracketed hood. Raised and fielded panelled door.
To the left a glazing bar sash under a wedge lintel. Two similar
windows to right. First floor has three similar windows, and above the
door, a small single light window. Three similar but smaller windows
above again and a narrower window over the door. Datestone in the
west wall records John Tempest, Burley House, 1828. Inside, a dogleg
open string staircase with stick balusters and ramped handrail.
