Hilltop Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Early C18. Red brick, plain tile roof, stone coped
gables with plain kneelers. Brick gable stacks. Two storeys, double
range plan. First and second floor brick bands. South elevation
of five bays. Central C20 lean-to porch and half glazed C20 door
within. Flanked on each side by early C19 3-light casement windows under
segment heads. Blocked C18 windows beyond with segment heads. First
floor has five early C18 windows, the outer ones blocked, the others
with casement windows. The rear elevation has two segment headed
casement windows to each floor and an intermediate staircase window
between, partly blocked. The west elevation has decorative blind
windows. The interior has two inglenook fireplaces. The attic
stair has early C18 turned balusters.
