13.9.1967 Town Head Farmhouse, garden
wall and railings

GV II

Farmhouse. Late C17 and early C18. Coursed rubble limestone with gritstone
dressings. Plain tile roof with stone coped gables and plain kneelers. Brick
ridge stack and brick gable end stacks. Two storeys and two and a half storeys,
five bays, Road elevation. The right hand part between the ridge stack and the
north west gable end is late C17 or early C18. The ground floor has two 2-light
square section mullion windows; above are two similar windows with a single light
window between. All with C19 casements. Immediately below the eaves are two
small 2-light recessed chamfer mullion windows. Flush quoins. To the left, a
mid-C18 extension of two bays with raised and chamfered quoins and moulded eaves
cornice. Doorway with flat stone bracketed hood. Six panelled raised and
fielded door with rectangular overlight. To the left, a plain sash in a moulded
stone surround, Two glazing bar sashes above with moulded stone surrounds.
Drystone garden wall with curved copings and metal railings.
