13.9.1967 Sycamore House

GV II

House. 1844. Coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings. Stone slate
roofs with stone coped gables, and moulded kneelers. Stone ridge stack and gable
end stacks, each with two projecting string bands. L-plan, two storeys. West
elevation. Projecting gabled wing on the left with a 3-light recessed chamfered
mullion window to the ground floor and a 2-light window above. Right hand part
with central doorway with segmental arched bracketed hood. Four panelled raised
and fielded door with glazed top part. Datestone above, just below the eaves,
dated 1844. To the right of the doorway, a 2-light recessed chamfered mullion
window and similar window above. To the left, a similar 3-light window with a
similar 2-light window above. All windows with metal and leaded casements.
