Farmhouse. 1691 restored C20 with additions. Coursed rubble
sandstone with ashlar dressings, quoins, coped gables with
moulded kneelers, central ridge stack rebuilt in C20 brick, and
a stone slated roof. Two storeys and attics, five bays, with a
single storey addition to the west end. South elevation with
four 2-light recessed chamfer mullioned windows, and a single
light window with moulded surround, beneath a continuous drip
mould which steps up as a hoodmould above a central doorway with
quoined surround, and a massive moulded lintel bearing the
inscription M

Panelled door with upper two panels glazed. First floor with
four 2-light and one central single light openings, all C17, the
2-light openings mullioned, two single light openings to attic
floow in plain surrounds. Single storey extension with C20
replacement 2-light and single light openings which match C17
work. The 1691 date appears late for this style and plan of
house in this area.
