Chest Tomb 20 metres south of Lychgate to All Saints Church

Chest tomb. c1740 with later inscriptions added. Sandstone and slate. Tomb has moulded base over plain plinth with raised and fielded slate panels to long sides, plain raised panels to ends and shaped corner piers with gadrooned bases. North side has inscriptions to Joseph Greaves, who died 1819, and his wife Anne, and also another to Anne Greaves who died 1827. Slate top over with moulded edges, has a Latin inscription to Joseph Greaves, who died 1740, aged 61.
