Spring House Farmhouse
II


Farmhouse. Early C19 and 1849. Coursed gritstone and limestone with gritstone
dressings. Welsh slate roofs with stone gable end stacks and stone coped gables.
Two storeys, double pile plan. South elevation of three bays, plus a lower
single bay to the left. Well tooled stone. Main three bays symmetrical with
central doorway with plain ashlar doorcase, C20 door and rectangular overlight.
Flanked on each side by glazing bar sashes with stone lintels and projecting sills.
Three similar windows above. Castellated parapet. Left hand bay with a glazing
bar sash to each floor. Datestone 1848 above the back door.
